Kidron Food Forest

The food forest in Kidron, which sprawls across 4.9 acres, was created as a research and development site for adapting the concept of the food forest to local conditions. Surface runoff conservation work was done in the food forest, which absorbs thousands of cubic meters annually to the groundwater, a wide variety of vegetation as well as a huge diversity of fruit trees, wild plants, ornamental plants, medicinal and herb plants, and pioneer species. Courses, workshops and different activities which teach the subject and help distribute it are held in the food forest. 

Moshav Mishmeret Food Forest

The food forest in Moshav Mishmeret, which sprawls across 3.7 acres, combines a productive and fruit bearing orchard with more than 60 fruit trees of different kinds. A variety of woodland trees and local fruit trees were planted and there is a butterfly garden which blossoms all year round.

Kfar Malal Food Forest

The food forest in Moshav Mishmeret sprawls across a private area of 0.8 acres. The forest is designed to serve as a natural haven at the center of the country. An ecological, yielding and aesthetic space for family and friends. One that enables the experience of walking in the forest, fruit picking and hospitality. The forest was designed, created and is maintained by ReForest Food Forests.

Mann Forest - Moshav Geulim Food Forest

The food forest sprawls across a private area of 5.4 acres. In this forest, special emphasis was placed on ecological rehabilitation, use of local species and runoff conservation in order to create an extensive system of resources and maintenance. The forest has several areas: fruit tree orchard planted on top of swales, dense woodland area with sitting platforms, wide savannah area, pecan, poplar trees and birch woods around a seasonal pond and open meadow areas. The forest was created by Idan Barzilay – Environmental Development Company, and will be maintained by the farm owners and volunteers.

Birkat HaYa’ar - Moshav Meitsar

Family food forest in Moshav Meitsar, Golan Heights, sprawls across an area of 7.1 acres in the agricultural areas on Meitsar Cliff, adjacent to Meitsar Stream. The project was established in 2020 and is led by Noam Dromi and her family. It serves as a space for workshops, education, agriculture, sustainability, culture, gardening and observation.

Batzra Food Forest

Private food forest, sprawls across an area of 1.2 acres, and a unique gem at the center of a conventional agricultural moshav. 

Established in 2017 in collaboration with Gina Mezina Company, the Food Forest Society, and gardener Shay Sechvi. The landowners, permaculturists with a vision, turned a big yard and a run-down agricultural plot into a diverse, rich food forest, full of life.
