ReForest Food Forests is a proprietary limited company, which brings together practical ecologists, permaculturists, educators and community driven individuals in order to promote the food forest field in the private and public sectors.
ReForest
ReForest Ltd. is an agroecological landscape development company specializing in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of private, public, community, and tourism projects.
ReForest was founded in 2020 with a vision of bringing together landscape design, agriculture, and ecological restoration, and developing new approaches to land development in Israel. Since then, we have planned and implemented dozens of projects across the country—from private agricultural properties to urban and tourism initiatives—each carefully adapted to the people, the land, and the surrounding community.
The natural spaces we create are more than green and beautiful. They are living environments that bring agriculture and community together, strengthen resilience, and create lasting value for generations to come.

Meytal Hadas Hochberg
Landscape Designer | Co-Founder
Over a decade of experience in designing and developing agroecological landscapes in private, public, and tourism-related contexts.
Expert in soil fertility, water management, food forests, and regenerative agriculture.
Certified permaculture instructor with extensive project work in Israel and abroad.
Nimrod Hochberg
Project Manager | Co-Founder
Over 15 years of experience in leading community and environmental initiatives.
Holds a degree in Democratic Education with a focus on educational-environmental spaces.
Has established and operated dozens of food forests, therapeutic gardens, and educational farms in collaboration with communities, municipalities, and NGOs.
Specializes in agroecological site development, long-term maintenance, and community-building around land.
Michal Eldar Liebreich
Agronomist | Co-Founder & CEO at Reforest
With over 20 years of experience in the agricultural sector and advanced degrees in Plant Science and Biotechnology (B.Sc, M.Sc).
Former researcher at the Volcani Institute and a leading seed company, specializing in agroecology and crop breeding.
Leads strategic agricultural initiatives, partnerships, and the promotion of sustainable farming practices.
Maya Wechtal
Landscape Designer
Landscape Architecture Practical Engineer, graduate of Tel-Hai College and certified in Permaculture Design (PDC).
Combines design and aesthetics with principles of sustainability and ecological thinking, while translating the client’s vision into a coherent landscape experience.
Rafi Sagiv
Landscape Designer
Graduate of Shenkar College in Landscape Architecture, with a background in education and social leadership.
Combines human sensitivity, systemic thinking, and strong visual skills in his design work.
Focuses on creating natural, breathing environments that connect people, land, and community.
Anat Raizman
Landscape Designer
graduate of Bezalel Academy, Shenkar, and a PDC in permaculture.
Specializes in planting design, wild gardens, and butterfly gardens, using the principle of “the right plant in the right place.”
Teaches landscape planting at Shenkar and brings experience from small private gardens to large-scale agricultural planning.
Luce Oriah Mittelman
Community Facilitator | Participatory Process Lead
Consultant, facilitator, and advisor for community-based and participatory processes,
with extensive experience in content development, storytelling, and visitor experience design for public and educational projects in collaboration with local authorities and non-profit organizations.
Holds an M.A. in Environmental Studies from Tel Aviv University and specializes in guiding diverse groups through collaborative vision-building processes.
Our Vision
We believe that developed and natural landscapes can be designed to serve a wide range of human needs while working in harmony with the environment. Our vision is to promote land use in Israel that integrates ecological restoration, food production, and healthy human environments — not as separate systems, but as interconnected elements that support one another.
Our Mission
At ReForest, we take an integrated approach to the planning and development of agricultural land and public open spaces. Our agroecological landscape design approach brings together landscape design, food production, and ecological restoration, offering an innovative alternative to conventional land development practices.
Open spaces in Israel are under increasing pressure, caught between the real need for food production, nature conservation, and public access, and the continued conversion of land for development.
At the same time, local and global environmental pressures, including climate change, growing pressure on land and water resources, and cumulative pollution, are directly affecting the quality of our living environments.
In response to these challenges, we developed a new approach to landscape development, bringing together agriculture, ecological restoration, and human needs.
Our agroecological design approach integrates landscape design, food production, and the restoration of natural systems, adapting each project to its soil, local climate, and the needs of the people who use the space.
At ReForest, we have been applying this approach for more than a decade across agricultural, community, and public spaces, looking at each site as a whole: its landscape, its people, and the systems that connect them.
We do not treat aesthetics, function, and environmental value as separate considerations. We design through the connections between them.
