Soil that has an abundance and variety of microorganisms will be full of life, fertile and stable. The conglomerates are soil particles which are basically glued together with sugar excretions from the microorganisms living in the soil. This means we will see sticky black soil with a pleasant forest odor, with lots of life in it.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b><i>First, we\u2019ll examine the soil<\/i><\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We want to understand the structure of the soil in order to choose suitable vegetation and the required soil improving treatment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is called soil profiling. There is mulch in differing qualities, there\u2019s free mulch from the authorities all the way to clean one-source forest mulch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The mulch brings lots of life with it, at the microorganism level. These, in turn, bring the ground animals, but the mulch itself also often contains many seeds of vegetation we don\u2019t want to nurture. The quality of the mulch will affect the presence of unwanted seeds.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/reforestearth.net\/mycorrhiza\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Learn more about mycorrhiza here<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><b>Runoff conservation is ground conservation<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the systemic viewpoint, we will operate to retain runoff water on the ground and utilize it for our needs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Retaining water in designated elements like swales moderates the powerful influence of short and heavy rainfall events, of the type which is expected to increase in our area.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\" src=\"https:\/\/reforestearth.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/\u05e1\u05d5\u05d5\u05d9\u05d9\u05dc\u05d9\u05dd-\u05d4\u05de\u05d7\u05e9\u05d4.jpg\" sizes=\"(max-width: 602px) 100vw, 602px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/reforestearth.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/\u05e1\u05d5\u05d5\u05d9\u05d9\u05dc\u05d9\u05dd-\u05d4\u05de\u05d7\u05e9\u05d4.jpg 602w, https:\/\/reforestearth.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/\u05e1\u05d5\u05d5\u05d9\u05d9\u05dc\u05d9\u05dd-\u05d4\u05de\u05d7\u05e9\u05d4-300x134.jpg 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"602\" height=\"268\" \/><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Instead of powerful and momentary flows that create soil fissures, cracking and loss of the majority of the water, we will retain the water and moderate their destruction of the soil structure.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The more covering the soil has, the more vegetation planted in it, the wider the diversity of root systems it contains &#8211; the more stable it is.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>So how will we actually know if we did a good job?\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As professionals, we use several optional tests to analyze the progression of the soil improvement process.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of them is microscopic testing of the microbial fauna in the ground, according to Elaine Ingham\u2019s method.
