Gilad, a successful retired lieutenant colonel, decided to go for a third career as a forester. His objective is to create a food forest on the family plot that will provide food for the family, rehabilitate nature, and serve as a tourist and educational center. The forest has a symbolic orchard area, a homage to the family orchard that is no longer. The plot was planted by the extended family and close friends, as part of the forest establishment celebrations.
